Geetanjali Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Udaipur

A part of Geetanjali University, Geetanjali Medical College in Udaipur was founded in 2008 as a consequence of the commitment and toil of Shri J.P. Aggarwal, the chairman of GMCH. Geetanjali University is founded on his idea of a developed nation with a developed infrastructure for higher education. This has given Udaipur's medical education and healthcare a completely new look.

Infrastructure

The Medical Council of India and the Indian government have both recognized GMCH, which has received accreditation from the AICTE. A canteen, transportation, labs, lecture halls, a central library, sports, classrooms, an auditorium, dorms, a computer lab, a cafeteria, a gym, a health center, and a hospital are among the resources available to students on the 35-acre campus of the institution.

About Hospital

Geetanjali Hospital is a multi-super specialty hospital with 1210 beds that offers all treatment modalities under one roof. In addition to M.I.C.U., P.I.C.U., N.I.C.U., S.I.C.U., Cardiac Care Unit, Neuro ICU, High Dependency Unit, and Burn ICU, the hospital offers a variety of amenities to its patients. Additionally, the hospital's emergency department is open around-the-clock to assist individuals in need of any emergency medical care.

Admission Eligibility

The deadline for applicants to this college is December 31st of the admission year, and they must be 17 years old. Students must have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 50 in scientific classes, including physics, chemistry, biology, and biotechnology (for SC/ST students, this must be at least 40 in board exams; for OBC students, it must be at least 45). Students must also take the National Eligibility and Entrance Examination (NEET), which is required.

Admission Eligibility

A candidate for post-graduate admission must hold an MBBS from an accredited institution. Then, in accordance with Section 10(D) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, NEET-PG is a rating and eligibility test that is required for admission to a variety of MD/MS programs.

Student Support:

  • Anti-Ragging: - Any disorderly activity, whether via words uttered or written, or by an act, that has the effect of teasing, treating, or delivering rudeness to a fresher or junior student.
  • Medical services range from simple cold, virus, and minor injury care at less thorough institutions to extensive lab testing, X-rays, specialists, and pharmacies at the more comprehensive facilities. Many campus health programs include counseling services.
  • Counseling Service: - The 'Counseling Service' is for those who are facing emotional or behavioral disorders, addiction or specific health concerns such as HIV/AIDS, however people of all sorts seek Counselling, and this does not suggest that they are "crazy" or "weak."
  • Hostel: Students may come two days before the start of the academic semester and must leave Residential rooms within two days of finishing regular examinations. Rooms are furnished with a bed, a table, a chair, and almirahs. Make a mess of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals.
  • In a college report, a student must provide a narrative of an event or report information from a book, article, or other sources. While some research is essential while preparing a report, the text primarily requires you to comprehend rather than gather the facts on which you report.

In Udaipur, Rajasthan—one of the state's largest towns and known as the "City of Lakes"—is the Geetanjali Medical College & Hospital. Udaipur Domestic Airport, which is approximately 22 kilometers from the school, provides excellent access to the city in India via all kinds of transportation, including air travel.
