Dr. Banarsi Das Soni, Ex-Captain of the Indian Medical Services, founded the renowned Dayanand Medical College. He came up with a fantastic strategy to provide the locals with the necessary medical care, inspired by the missionaries' passion for medical education and patient care. This grew into Arya Medical School, which had its start in 1934 in a leased building in Ludhiana's Civil Lines. A full-fledged medical college known as Dayanand medical college has replaced the Arya medical school in recent years. This medical college was established in 1963. The National Medical Committee has authorised Faridkot, which is associated with Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (NMC).
